Kaipara Coast Plant Centre & Sculpture Gardens Newsletter  - Oct 17th  2009

It is a busy time of year for us, we’ve been making use of the wet weather and doing a lot of spring planting, we’ve been renovating the Plant Centre, we’ve been getting the next exhibition sorted in the sculpture gardens, and we have been organizing our annual October sale which has now started.

We only have 3 weeks until the next exhibition opening, so book now for tickets – see below.

Sculpture Gardens 2010 exhibition opening:

November 6th 3:30pm.

You are invited to the official opening of the 2010 exhibition of sculptures at Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens, with the opening by Prime Minister John Key.

This is a wonderful chance to be the first to see an amazing selection of quality sculptures, meet the artists, set amongst our beautiful country gardens.

This is a great opportunity to dress up, gather some friends and take a trip to the country.

Drinks and light refreshments will be served during the opening.

Pre purchasing tickets is essential, as numbers are limited.

Adults $20, Children 5-13 years $5.

To book phone 09 420 5655, email, or order online here:

One of the new pieces you will see at the 2010 exhibition opening:

Artist: Gill Gatfield

At this time every year we look at all the stock in our nursery, and any lines that haven’t sold as well as we thought, any seconds, any end of lines and cancelled orders we put on sale at amazing prices (most at least 30 to 50% off!).

David’s instructions to Katrina (Kaipara Coast Shop Manager) have been to price everything left in our nursery at prices that people won’t be able to refuse!

Our sale has now started, and finishes October 31st, so come into the Plant Centre and look for  Yellow labels!

We will be moving fresh sale stock into the shop everyday, plus if you have heard another nursery advertising a special let us know, we can probably match it!

Ever thought you would like to work with plants?

We have a full time position available at present.

The main thing we are looking for is that you are fit, and really like plants.

The job will be quite varied, and will involve working in the Plant Centre, in our nursery, and also sometimes out on site Landscaping. We will design the position depending on your experience.

Full training will be given. Some rostered weekend work is required.

If you are interested send us an email and we will send you an application pack.

We look forward to seeing you at the Plant Centre soon,

From David & the team at Kaipara Coast Plant Centre – the best Garden Centre in the North Island!
