PHOTOS FOR OUR WEBSITE: Please help! Over the
last year we have put almost all of our plants up onto our website www.plantsnz.co.nz/shop, and have
developed order on line facilities. But
– we need photos beside each plant- at the moment our website looks a
very bare – we are amazed at how many different plants we grow! Can you help? If you have a
digital camera, send us photos of your plants. Please go onto our website,
look for plants that don’t have pictures & if you have a nice example,
please send us a photo. If
you have a plant that looks great, but don’t know its name, take a
photo – we will identify it, and if it isn’t one we have, or if
yours is a better photo than ours, we will use the photo. We will pay you $5 (in the form of
a Kaipara Coast Plant Voucher) for each photo that we use. Plus
- Each month we will choose the best photo(s) and send the photographer(s) a
$25 plant voucher. Send
the photos in as large a format as you can (don’t reduce them or crop
them) and we will edit them to make them fit. Also take them
‘Landscape’ (eg: don’t tilt the camera when you are taking
them). Alternatively save them onto a CD and drop it off to the Plant Centre. The
email address to send these to is pics@plantsnz.co.nz,
or just reply to this email. |

EASTER SALE OFFICIALLY STARTS FRIDAY 3rd
APRIL |

More
details on this next week – Katrina, Sarah, John, Danie & Jade are packing
the shop full of yellow label specials at present in preparation for our two
week Easter sale. The
sale officially starts next Friday 3rd April and goes through to
April 19th, but if you get in before the official start of the
sale you will find plenty of yellow label specials already in store waiting
for homes!. More
details next week. |

GARDENING JOBS WE ARE TRYING TO DO AT PRESENT: |
|
|

In our vege garden at present we are
planting Cabbages, Cauliflowers, Silverbeet, Spinach, Lettuces, Celery, plus trying
out a late potato variety. ·
It is also bulb planting time, and we have
plenty of fresh seasons bulbs to try. ·
In our flower gardens we are trying to find
time to deadhead and trim back the lavenders and flowering plants. ·
We also have a number of plants sitting
around waiting to be planted……and it is the ideal time to be
planting them…..we just need the time! (volunteers welcome!) ·
In an ideal world we would be giving our
fruit trees a prune, however that probably won’t happen until winter. |
It
is a great time to be planting autumn colour trees at present – check
out our autumn tree range soon!
