BIG NEWS:
We are proud to announce that at the end of June we were officially judged the Best Garden Centre in the North Island for 2008 as part of the Yates Garden Centre of the Year competition, and first runner up in NZ. We are especially pleased as we are only half way through a 4 year renovation and improvement project, so expect to see plenty more changes in the next 2 years. If you haven’t been out to see us for a while make sure you come and see us soon.
We welcome any suggestions that you may have to help us further improve our services to you –send an email or drop a suggestion into our prize draw box when you visit the Plant Centre.
FREE COFFEE – yes, we are offering free coffee or hot chocolate all winter to warm you up when you come out to the Plant Centre.
FRUIT TREES:
Our fruit trees sales have been huge in the last few months – more and more people are realising that there is nothing better than picking your own fruit. We have just started picking our own delicious oranges in our own orchard, which are some of the best tasting I have ever eaten.
We have a great range of fruit tree varieties, all suitable for the Auckland region, and now is a great time to get them planted.

50% OFF PALM SALE:
One of our Palm suppliers is retiring, and we have been asked to help sell his beautiful palm trees, all ready to plant outdoors. He has offered his stock to us at half his normal prices, so we are passing these savings directly to you – these prices are unlikely to ever be repeated for palms of this quality. We are hoping to have enough stock to keep these prices going until the end of August, but best get in quick to be certain.
YELLOW LABEL SPECIALS:
Yellow label specials in the Plant centre at present include:
Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ – for driveways, hedges or good looking flowering specimen trees. We grew a few too many last year and need to make room in the nursery, so these 1m plus plants are for sale 40% off at just $8 each.
Pittosporums – still one of the fastest and best hedging plants around - 1m plants half price at just $10 each, healthy plants, but we are needing room to get next seasons plants potted.
PRIZE DRAW – everyone who shops at the Plant centre can enter our Monthly Prize draw one of 4 $25 plant vouchers – and a big insider Hint - the odds of winning are extra good if you fill out all the lines on the entry form.
